Established in 1998, ComKids Foundation is a registered Canadian charity that developed due to the lack of access students have to technology and digital literacy resources. Our program offers youth a brand-new device, as well as digital literacy workshops to help improve their skills and confidence when it comes to using technology.
To date, over 8,000 students have been impacted through involvement in the ComKids program.

Course Content
Through partnerships with like-minded organizations, we offer students a free and accessible online curriculum that equips them with the skills and tools to effectively use technology and improve their confidence and capacity.
Students complete helpful step-by-step tutorials designed by the Chromebook division of Google. Students will discover useful tools and features that will help them with academics, such as learning to work on documents online, transferring files and efficiently searching online.
The interactive workshops and informative resources teach youth about how to keep their digital footprint clean, how to protect their privacy and security online and how to build and maintain a healthy relationship with technology.
FakeOut is an interactive game that focuses on learning how to correctly source and verify information that is shared online. Students will learn three helpful and easy skills to use when investigating the credibility of sources, claims and photos that they read online.
