13th Annual Celebrity Sports Mixer

Merry Go Round Children’s Foundation’s 13th Annual Celebrity Sports Mixer achieved an all-time record raising $350,000 in net proceeds.  Funds will support the participation of more than 800 students participating in the ComKids program in the GTA and across Canada this year.

The event attracted more than 600 guests including, athletes, broadcasters, entertainment celebrities, and members of Toronto’s business community at the Hockey Hall of Fame on February 8th.  Event MC, Michael Landsberg along with Toronto Maple Leaf alumni, Wendel Clark and Darryl Sittler, Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Marcel Dionne, as well as former TFC player, Dwayne DeRosario, spoke of the importance of students having access to computer technology at home, which ComKids provides. A highlight of the night was the moving message of gratitude from ComKids student ambassadors Kauser and Sanaa, who said the Program has had such a positive impact on their lives and supported the achievement of their goals.
