Testimonials

“Merry Go Round has not only given us a wonderful present but a chance to be successful. Let’s face it; we’re a generation that relies technology. For many people it may seem as something that’s not a big of deal, but to a kid like me, it means a lot.”

"On behalf of Outside Looking In, we would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Comkids . Your support and contributions have had a profound impact on the lives of the youth we serve, and we are eternally thankful. Through your generous donation of devices, Comkids has played a pivotal role in empowering young individuals in 13 communities through our (Program) and Future Leaders Program. With the distribution of 210 Notebooks as a reward for their hard work and dedication throughout the year, these young participants were not only surprised but also filled with joy and excitement. The impact of your donation extends far beyond the material value of the devices. Comkids has opened doors of opportunity for these youth, allowing them to enhance their educational pursuits, explore their creativity, and engage with the world in new and meaningful ways. The notebooks serve as a symbol of their accomplishments and a reminder that their hard work has been recognized and celebrated. Your partnership has made a lasting impact on the lives of our youth, transforming lives and creating opportunities for many more young individuals in the years to come."

Outside Looking In

We provide laptops for students in our after-school program (YSSI) but only during program hours. We also have a computer lab at our boys and girls club but the number of devices we have are limited. ComKids has given our students the opportunity to own their own laptop and have unlimited access. It will also prepare our students for high school since the work-load will increase and be much more difficult. Digital access and digital literacy skills training are critical for students in today's educational landscape. Digital access ensures that students can fully engage with modern learning resources, while digital literacy skills enable them to navigate and utilize digital information effectively. As an educator, ensuring both digital access and digital literacy training equips students with the tools they need to succeed academically and professionally in our increasingly digital world.
