14th Annual Celebrity Sports Mixer

Thanks to your generosity, Merry Go Round Children’s Foundation’s 14th Annual Celebrity Sports Mixer raised almost $400,000 in net proceeds in support of the ComKids program.

It was a full-house at the Hockey Hall of Fame as the fundraiser gathered more than 600 guests including athletes, broadcasters, entertainers, and members of Toronto’s business community.  Event MC, Paul Hendrick, was joined on stage by Toronto Maple Leaf alumnus, Wendel Clark and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Marcel Dionne who spoke of the importance of students having access to technology to achieve their full potential.

Guests were treated to a memorable appearance by Team Canada Olympians who turned out to support our kids.

A special moment of the night was marked by the words of gratitude shared by ComKids student ambassadors Rebecca and Marshall, who spoke of the positive impact the Program has made on their lives and their future goals.

Funds raised will support the participation of more than 725 deserving students participating in the ComKids program in the GTA and across Canada this year.
